You've already seen the classics
If this isn't your first time in Rome, the standard route is largely a repeat — Colosseum, Trevi, Piazza Navona. A private ride is the version where you say "we've done all that" and spend the afternoon on the Appian Way, in Garbatella, or crossing the river at the hours when the light is worth stopping for.

Les questions propres au tour privé.
How many people can join a private Vespa tour?
There's no fixed limit. Small groups ride with Francesco; for larger ones we add Vespas, drivers and a second guide so the pace stays the same. Tell us your numbers when you book — or message us first and we'll confirm the setup and the price for your group.
Can some of us drive while others ride as passengers?
Yes, and it's common. One couple two-up on their own Vespa, one person behind a staff driver — tell us the split when you book so we prepare the right number of Vespas and drivers.
Can we really choose the route?
That's the whole point. Send a list of what you want to see and Francesco builds the ride around it, or describe the kind of afternoon you want and he'll propose something. If your list doesn't fit in two and a half hours, he'll tell you before the day rather than rushing it.
Can a private tour run at sunset?
Yes — the 19:00 departure is the one private groups ask for most, because the panoramic stops are at their best in the last hour of light. In summer it books out first, so pick your date early.
We're planning a proposal. Can you help?
Tell us when you book. We'll build the route so the stop you want comes at the right moment, keep the timing loose, and give you space when it happens. Your guide can also have your phone ready for the photo.
Can children come?
Children can ride as passengers as long as they're tall enough to rest their feet on the footboard, from around age 6. Message us with their ages before booking and we'll tell you honestly whether it works.
Can I buy a private tour as a gift?
Yes. Tick the gift option at checkout and no date is fixed, so whoever receives it books the day that suits them.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain doesn't stop the tour and ponchos are provided. If the weather is genuinely unsafe you can reschedule for free or take a full refund.
