What you need: nothing
- No licence. You're a passenger, so nothing gets checked at the desk.
- No deposit. The €500 hold only applies to people who drive.
- No experience. If you've never been on two wheels, this is the version for you.
- Children ride with one of our drivers, not on a parent's Vespa. Tell us their ages when you book — it depends on size as much as age.
Mixed groups are normal: some of you drive, the rest ride behind. Tell us at checkout who's doing what.
The 19:00: Rome at golden hour
- The last departure rides into the light everyone photographs. The traffic has thinned, the stone turns orange, and the Janiculum stop lands right as the sun goes down behind St Peter's.
- It's the one couples book most, and the one that fills first in summer.
- In winter the 15:30 does the same thing, because the light goes earlier. From November to February that's the sunset ride.
- From the back seat you can actually photograph it — hands free, no throttle to hold.

What people ask before they book.
Do I need a driving licence?
No. You're a passenger, so there's nothing to check and no deposit to leave. Turn up, put a helmet on and get on the back.
Who is driving?
One of our drivers — people who ride these streets every day, not someone learning on your time. A licensed guide leads the group and does the talking at each stop.
Is it safe in Roman traffic?
It's the reason this version exists. Roman traffic isn't fast, it's constant, and reading it takes practice. Sitting behind someone who does it daily is the safest way to see the centre on two wheels.
Can children come?
Children ride with one of our drivers, not on a parent's Vespa. Tell us their ages when you book and we'll confirm what works — it depends on size as much as age.
Can some of us drive and some ride behind?
Yes, and plenty of groups do. Only the people driving need a licence and the deposit; everyone else just turns up. Tell us at checkout who's doing what.
Which departure should I pick?
The 19:00 rides into the golden hour and is the one couples book most — in winter the 15:30 does the same thing. The 9:30 is the quietest, and the only one where the Colosseum viewpoint is close to empty.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure, with a full refund. Within 48 hours the booking is non-refundable and the remaining balance is charged. Tap “Free cancellation” under the booking button for the full policy.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain doesn’t stop us and the tour runs as planned. If we must cancel because of storms or an official weather warning, you can choose another date or a full refund.
Can I take photos during the ride?
That's one of the advantages of the back seat: your hands are free. The guide also stops the group properly at each viewpoint, so you're not shooting at speed.
